Folic acid
- it helps in the formation of red blood cells and in cell division. Folic acid can be found in: whole grains, liver, green leaves vegetables, fruits, nuts, yeast;
EFAs (essential fatty acids)
- they control the lipids in the blood and hormone production. EFAs can be purchased from natural sources as: whole grains, vegetables, nuts, seeds, vegetable oil obtained at cold pressing, vegetables with dark green leaves;
Beta-carotene
- it is a strong antioxidant. Beta-carotene can be found in: yellow and orange fruits and vegetables and green leaves vegetables.
Flavonoids
- they are antioxidants. The natural sources where flavonoids can be found are: whole grains, vegetables and intensely colored fruits.
Q10 Coenzyme
- its main roles are: participation in energy production, cardiac activity improvement and antioxidant. It can be found especially in meat.
PABA (para-aminobenzoic acid)
- it have some important functions: it is an important antioxidant, stimulates the synthesis of folic acid in intestines and participates to the assimilation of pantothenic acid, protecting skin from UV radiation. Natural sources where it can be found are: whole cereals, wheat germ, vegetables.
