Tips about how you must eat the fruits:

Because fruits can not be combined with any other foods, without disrupting the entire digestive process, they must be eaten alone, and especially on an empty stomach.

Instead you eat fruits after meals you should eat them before. Ideally, eat fruits at least an hour before meal. But you should do so that last meal being fully digested, or eating fruit in about three hours after lunch or dinner.

Therefore, there are three times of day when you should eat fruits:

- mid afternoon (17.30 pm),  at least four hours after you finish lunch;

- evening, before bedtime, providing that the period of four hours after dinner is respected.

It is best to avoid citrus fruits (oranges, grapefruit, tangerines) before bedtime, because they contain vitamin C which may disturb your sleep. So fruits are absolutely indicated in the morning, or in the mid-afternoon, to give you some energy.

What about fruits juice?

We eat fruits because we are convinced that they are composed of excellent nutritive substances, essential to our health: generally, vitamins and minerals. Drinking a "concentrated fruit" as a fruits juice, some believe that they absorb a higher amount of vitamins.

Unfortunately, it is not entirely true, since most of the vitamins that are part of the fruit are destroyed in the fruits juice.

Storing vitamins, outside their natural environment, which is the fruit, is highly ephemeral. Most of the vital substances of the fruit remains in the pulp which is discarded after juice has been extracted.

When the juice is separated from the pulp, it greatly increases its acidity, so we are forced to sweeten it and adding sugar. In any case, avoid to drink more fruits juice than eat the fruits from which it is extracted.
