Many people prefer salt snacks as: french fries, popcorn and also sweet snacks. Most times we eat snacks to quench our appetites, so we eat snack from 2 to 2 hours to banish the hungry. Drinks and snacks between meals can provide even more calories than your daily requirement.
We are used to eat between meals a cup of coffee with sugar or a donut with jam or sweet drinks and chocolate.
Also during a movie on TV or the cinema we are used to eat popcorn and consume sweet fizzy drinks.
All these snacks are add a surplus about 1500 calories per day. Remove any snack between meals so you can lose weight and control your body weight.
A breakfast consisting boiled whole grains, whole bread or some fresh fruit is able to provide continuously energy throughout the day.
Thus till lunch our body wouldn't need snacks to feel energetic. Similarly a lunch rich in fiber will do the same for the entire period of the afternoon.
To resist to the temptation to taste something between meals you should drink a large glass of water. Water contains no calories and doesn't require any digestion effort.
If this isn't enough you can eat as snacks a fresh fruit or a few small raw vegetables.
The best way to give up snacks is to remember how many calories you can avoid and how important is this in a weight loss diet and in maintaining an ideal body weight.

donut with jam: 255 calories;
sweet drink: 140 calories;
biscuits (3): 350 calories;
chocolate stick: 295 calories.
