Salt affects the body but sometimes in undue and unhealthy. Higher consumption of salt causes weight gain because of water retention.
Low consumption of salt can causes weight loss because the body no longer retains so much water.
Foods which usually contain much salt and should be avoided or consumed only in small quantities are: canned, frozen products, french fries, fried peanuts, cheeses that are smeared on bread, smoked fish, ketchup, soy sauce, sauces in an envelope.
