In this article I'll talk about the risks that can appear when you choose a certain diet.

I'll emphasize exactly what is necessarily to know about every known diet.

Diets based on a severely restriction of carbohydrates or fats:

causes water loss, risk of ketosis and muscle tissue loss. It aggravates the gout and it can occur nausea or vomiting, etc.
vegetables_fruitsFat restriction < 20% of total calories from fruit and vegetables diets. Protein deficiency, decreases absorption of essential fatty acids and of soluble vitamins (A, D, K, S). Lack of fat means starving! Starvation is not a solution in weight loss diets.

70 g of proteins daily  in the form of lean meat or liquid supplements;

It can appear a dramatic weight loss, but temporary - in two years the body weight before this diet can return;

Rarely - serious side effects as: cardiac arrhythmia and sudden death;

Frequently: fatigue, dry skin, thinning hair, constipation, gallstones.

These types of diets are indicated to persons with body mass index (BMI) > 40 and only for 2-3 months, with medical monitoring.

     There is a severe caloric restriction;

     Commercial interest is to promote the product, not how to change life style;
