As I say before fibers can be found in natural sources as: fruits, whole cereals, vegetables (peas, soy, beans) etc. Such a diet is cheaper, safer and healthier.

Perhaps you wonder if animal origin foods contain fibers. The answer is...NO!

Meat and milky products represent 40% of modern human diet, the remaining 60% being composed of refined foods, fats extracted from animal products, vegetables and sugar based foods.

Such a diet is low in fibers - 15-20 grams; an ideal diet contains 50-70g fibers.

Fibers aren't a medicine. Isn't enough to take a pill of fibers or sprinkle them on concentrated foods.

We should  take a bottle full of fiber s pills to obtain something what can be obtained easily by eating whole grains.

Fibers can be obtain from natural sources as:

  • asparagus
  • lettuce
  • spinach
  • eggplant
  • tomatoes
  • squash
  • peanuts
  • peppers
  • endive
  • celery
  • cabbage
  • cauliflower
  • ssauerkraut
  • green beans
  • leeks
  • mushrooms
  • turnips.

Fibers have a beneficial action in obesity. In  a diet, fibers have decrease blood glucose level, as well as the secretion of insulin, which is responsible for the formation of fat reserves.

Fibers content of cereal products:
